Rory is South African born who moved to Galway 4 years ago to play rugby and get in touch with his Irish roots. He is married to Susan who is also a dedicated team member of Unique Personal Training.
His first interest in personal training started while being part of a South African rugby Academy in Port Elizabeth. He furthered his studies in Cape town at the SA Sports Science Institute and worked for the largest personal training institute in South Africa for two years. There he gained valuable experience working under very experienced colleagues with a wide range of clients from beginners to to world class athletes.
Rory is a real people person and enjoys the CRAIC while getting the work done. He believes if you cant enjoy something you wont get where you want to be. He is a very positive person who tries his best to make UPT a positive part of your day. Working in the field for a long time mixing with a wide range of people, also studying quantity surveying and being well travelled makes him easy to get on with making the task that much more enjoyable.
Rory one the founders of UPT believes they have come along way since 2008 starting with very limited equipment and space. Through perseverance and mastering their craft the business has grown leaps and bounds. Even with the positive growth he still believes they have a long way to go and many hard hours work ahead to achieve their goal.
